About this portrait – I watched this mother and calf from the boat for an hour or so then got in had a swim. The pair would breathe, then cruise just below the surface for short periods, & surface to breathe again. The two moved effortlessly, in perfect harmony with each other. While beautiful to watch, it seemed the mother was teaching her baby how to breath and stay close to avoid tiger sharks, and boat propellers.
