Learning Underwater Photography
This workshop covers the importance of good buoyancy, recognizing dive conditions and currents to create better images. We discuss the rules of composition, lighting, shutter speed, apertures, lens choice and strobe position. When in the water I will demonstrate how mastering your buoyancy will enable you to create photographs without damaging the reef or stirring up visibility. After the dive we will review the images. The workshop will require about 6 hours and include a lecture and 2 dives. Clients can select shore dives or boat dives. (boat fees, tank, dive gear or camera rental not included). The underwater workshop costs $500 per person. A professional grade Nikon D300 in a housing is available for rent for clients interested in trying a digital SLR system.
